World Series Racing Championship

The inaugural World Series Racing Championship kicked off in March of 1999. The World Series travels around the globe, beginning in March and ending in December. It takes in the world's most important races by country and by continent.

After each race points are awarded to the top six finishers. In its inaugural year the World Series consisted of nine races, expanding to two more the year after and adding the Queen Elizabeth Cup in Hong Kong and the Singapore International Cup recently, taking the World Series Championship to thirteen races in eleven countries on four continents. The World Series consists not only of the most important international races by country and by continent, but presents the opportunity of a total purse of US$30 million.

The Carlton Draught Cox Plate is the only Southern Hemisphere Club to be involved in the Series, meaning that this race is amongst the most prestigious racing in the world today.
